Drinkers of the Wind
Oh, to be a witness of such ancient mysteries as earth and sky
And to behold the spirits soaring thereAll around us, elements appear in forms that speak to our souls
We have only to open our eyes to perceive their miracles
We have only to open our ears to hear their wisdomEach moment is an invitation to remember our connection
And to honor the sentience of Nature.

THE STORY BEHIND THE ART
In this cloud formation, I perceived the energy of horses expressed as a storm swirling above the timeless sands. Arabians are the horses of the desert, and historically Drinkers of the Wind was a Bedouin phrase used to describe the grace and stamina of the Arabian horse. It seemed a fitting title for these horses made of wind and water. The original work of art was commissioned by a member of the royal family of Kuwait.
