Masters of Peace
When all is in alignment, all things are possible.

THE STORY BEHIND THE ART
This portrait was created for an equine holistic vet named Dr. Suzan Seeyle. It was planned as a celebration of her connection with four of her horses. The evolution of this piece was complex and evolved over several years. The composition was a collaboration between my meditations and Suzan’s intuitions. One day, we met to do the final photo session with two of her horses. Nothing seemed to be coming together, the weather was cloudy and the horses were not in the mood to pose. As we shared a cup of tea, Suzan remarked that what she had learned from her horses was too vast to define. I asked her, "then what is this portrait about?" She said decisively, "I just want to sit at the feet of my teachers". We looked out the window, and there was her white mare standing within sight of the window, beckoning to us. The sun came out. We walked outside, Suzan knelt on the ground, her other horse walked over, and both horses touched their noses to her head. It was one of the most profoundly inspiring moments I'd ever seen.
The composition depicts a Rosicrucian cross and the Rosetta Nebula to convey the vastness. From that universal perspective her two spirit horses offer their blessing.
