THE STORY BEHIND THE ART
Like horses themselves, this painting allows each person to reflect, and receive, what they need from its uplifting message. Some people envision the horses carrying their dreams to the stars. Others take comfort in their own horse’s spirit rising to greet their heavenly herd. This is one of my personal favorites. A vision which I feel truly captures the mystical heritage of these magnificent beings.
“The Legend” was originally commissioned as an illustration for a toy and children’s book called “The Legend of the Night Mares” by Dawn Van Zant.
